Rainforest Automation is pleased to announce that it has added EnerTalk, from Encored, Inc., to its list of services supported by its EAGLE Energy Management System. With this addition, EnerTalk customers can get advanced analytics based on their real-time electricity consumption data, direct from their utility smart meter, by simply connecting to their Rainforest EAGLE-200 gateway through the EnerTalk app.
“We wanted a simple solution for our customers that would allow them to get real-time, actionable data that was easy for them to get up and running,” said John Lee, Chief Marketing Officer (Head of R&D) of Encored, Inc. who led this whole service integration and partnership. “With Rainforest Automation’s EAGLE already deployed with utilities across the US and Canada, it was a natural fit.”
The Rainforest EAGLE-200 gateway connects wirelessly to the utility smart meter and streams electricity usage data up to the cloud in real time. This allows users to see the affect their actions have on their usage as it happens.
“Rainforest designed our platform to be open so that we could address many different market segments in residential and commercial buildings,” said Chris Tumpach, President and CEO of Rainforest Automation. “EnerTalk provides our customers with another choice in how they view their energy, and it complements our existing solutions for energy monitoring and direct load control.”
The EnerTalk app uses big data analytics to provide the homeowner with new insights into how to manage their energy. It reveals trends, analyzes usage history, tracks your time-of-use patterns, and estimates costs. The app can be downloaded from the iOS App Store or Google Play.
